• dynamic democracy generalizing both direct and representative dem
• voters may cast a vote (ala direct democracy)
• alternatively, can delegate votes (called proxies) to a representative
• proxy recipients may in turn delegate as well (called metadelegation)

• objective: model in which expertise and alignment are captured. voters reason about delegation / abstention based on an estimate of representative expertise and alignment with own values.
• extension of the paradigm used in lqdem-2exps to diversified interests
• hypothesis: LD may be advantageous when there is variety of interest; may be better evaluated using pareto frontier vs equilibrium
